Requirements for membership:

  • I am a junior or senior.
  • I have successfully completed Spanish II or Spanish III Honors.
  • I have already completed or I am enrolled in Spanish III, AP Spanish Language or AP Spanish Literature this school year.
  • I am enrolled in a Spanish course this school year.
  • I have a minimum 3.0 cumulative average of all Spanish courses taken from 9th grade to the present.
  • I have a minimum 2.5 cumulative average of all high school courses.
  • I have a behavioral record free from suspension, instances of academic dishonesty (i.e. plagiarism), and/or a pattern of inappropriate behavior.
  • Transfer students will need to show proof of membership in SHH from another school, or meet all of the above requirements and have taken at least one Spanish course at Santa Fe.
  • $5 membership fee is only due if invited to be initiated into chapter.
 

To maintain active status

  • You must maintain all above requirements to remain active.
  • You must attend ALL meetings.
  • Be involved in at least two service activities throughout the school year.
  • Attend induction ceremony in September, even if you’ve already been inducted in past    

years.

Senior Members: the guidelines for membership and active status must be met before graduation recognition [honor cord recognition] can be granted. Be vigilant of your overall Santa Fe GPA, Spanish class grades, attendance at all meetings and involved in at least 2 service activities.
