The BusinessTech Academy has been in existence at Santa Fe High School for over ten years and includes a relevant interdisciplinary curriculum which includes social studies and English classes that fulfill the A-G course requirements as well as technology classes that fulfill graduation requirements. The strength of the Business Academy lies in the fact that there is a strong emphasis on technology as well as strong ties to the business community through its mentorship program.
As an extension of the classroom learning experience, BusinessTech Academy students have a unique opportunity to experience business beyond the classroom through the City of Santa Fe Springs and Chamber events. Eleventh grade Academy students participate in a mentor program in which students are paired with members of the business community. They have many opportunities to interact with their mentor to see both the professional and technological side of business. Senior BusinessTech Academy students may participate in the Santa Fe Springs Chamber's Future Business Leader Committee and have the experience of being a participating member of city government.
