The Two Phases

SENIOR PROJECT REQUIREMENTS

Phase I—Research Paper
  • 5 sources minimum (2 types—periodical, web, etc.)
  • 35 data cards or the equivalent in an evidence collection form
  • Minimum length requirement: 5 pages (to the bottom of page 5); maximum: 7 pages
  • Works cited page
  • MLA research style
  • Typed; double-spaced; 1-inch margins all around; 12-point Times New Roman font
  • Students who miss the final draft deadline can only receive up to 60%.
    • “Late” contract must be utilized.
 
 
Phase II—Presentation
  • 5–7-minute presentation with a 5-minute question and answer period
  • 5 (minimum) multimedia slides
  • Appropriate dress
  • No student will receive their appointment for Senior Boards without completing a practice presentation and other requirements set forth by the teacher.
  • Presentation score determined by averaging all Boards scores.
  • Students who go to make-up boards can only receive up to 60%.
